A Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required to operate most commercial tractor units. To drive a truck in any state of the country, you must pass the CDL exam. CDL tests are designed to ensure that professional drivers are experts in their field and meet all medical and safety requirements. To take the CDL exam and obtain unlimited interstate CDL, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be 21 years old
- Provide medical history
- Have a car driving license
- Have a valid social security card
